Australia was first introduced to Tamara in 2001 when she won Series two of hit TV series: Popstars and formed Scandal’us. The five piece group went on to record their album Startin’ Something which peaked at no.2 on the ARIAnet Albums Chart and reached the no.1 spot for single ‘Me, Myself and I”. At the age of 21, Tamara and her band mates achieved a feat a lot of Australian artists dream about, taking home an ARIA award for Highest Selling Single. Undisputedly the biggest musical talent to come out of the Popstars franchise, Tamara credits the show with giving her the opportunity to break into the music industry in Australia at such a young age and for developing herself into an artist.

Once the group split, Tamara took some time away from music to refocus on her direction, and after a few years, armed with a new determination, she created and led her new duo Scarlett Belle (along with new bandmate Reigan Derry) to the US where, after spending over a month in the studio with Snoop writing and recording, Scarlett Belle then found themselves working with accomplished producers, writers and artists such as NeYo, J R Rotem, Stargate, Dianne Warren, Dre & Vedal and Nate Dogg. Scarlett Belle then went on to be signed to Def Jam Records by L.A Reid himself.

While Tamara loved the music she was making, she had a different song in her heart and found herself on a new songwriting journey that would lead her to a new chapter in her life and her craft: a sound filled with emotive story telling and melodies based on personal experience closer to her truth. “my new music is a direct reflection of me. It’s unapologetic, it’s raw, it melodic and real. It’s undeniable in its pop sensibility however it’s honesty is very relatable”

When Tamara is not writing or performing music, she is dancing and honing her acting talents. Tamara’s display of dancing skills, self-deprecating manner and effervescent personality on “Dancing with the stars” won over not only the Australian public but judges also, labeling her “the best dancer they have seen in the history of the show”. Her natural presence and charismatic personality, both on and off the camera, have now paved the way further into the realms of television presenting, publishing, and producing with strengths the world has yet to see.
